Thanks to everyone who came out to support me at the 1st annual "Rags to Riches Barbell Crucible" weightlifting meet at Local's Gym this weekend. Seriously awesome to have such great people behind me all the way, and it means the world to me. You guys are all awesome, and working with such awesome people is what makes running the weightlifting program one of my greatest joys. Special thanks to Stephen, Molly, Mark, Amanda, Tommy, Spencer, Dawn, and my sweetheart Piper for making it out, and everyone else who sent their good wishes my way!

For those of you who came out to watch, hopefully you got to see how much fun these local meets are, and how un-intimidating they can be. I can say that personally I had a ton of fun on Sunday, and met some new friends along the way. It was a great experience, and I hope it inspired you all to participate in the next one to come up!

SPEAKING OF...the next nearby USAW-sanctioned  meet is the Washington State Open at Thrush Sports Performance Center down in Sumner, WA. Should be some BIG TIME lifters down there looking to qualify for the American Open. That meet is October 13th. Whether you want to compete (which I encourage everyone to do!) or just go watch, you should put it on your calendar! We can get some SICK Industrious singlets made up for it!
