If you missed the previous post about registering with USAW, here is the link to the USAW registration site. If you are intending to compete in the Washington Open NEXT SATURDAY, you will want to do this as soon as possible so that we can mail our entry forms in this week to avoid having to pay the late registration fee. Even if you have no intention on competing in this meet, I highly encourage you to register with USAW as soon as you can. There are additional benefits beyond just being able to compete in sanctioned meets (like back-up insurance coverage). Please make sure you select Industrious Barbell as your club, because otherwise you will have to mail in a change form after the fact to be associated with our club (I am going through that process now). If it asks you for my USAW number to be listed as your coach, let me know and I will get that to you ASAP. For those of you who ARE competing next Saturday, once you have your USAW number we can get you registered for the meet ASAP. If you are paying by check, we need to mail in your form and check together. Deadline is this Saturday, so we really need to get on this! There is an option to pay by card as well, and if you do that we can just email your entry forms in. In case you missed it, the link to the entry form is here.

For those of you NOT competing in the Washington Open, don't forget about our gym meet the day after (next Sunday)! This thing is going to be a TON of fun, and a will be a great low-pressure, nothing but fun experience to ease you into the competition setting. There will be some fun prizes, lots of laughs, maybe even some food. You won't want to miss it! We could really use a few volunteers to help out. Even if you plan on competing in it, there will be plenty of opportunity to help out when you are not lifting or warming up. We could use a few folks to help load barbells and keep track of scores. Let me, Molly, or Stephen know if you are interested in helping out. Participation in the meet will be open to ALL of the Industrious family, not just those associated with the club. Don't miss it!
