Snatch: 3 singles @ opener*
Clean and jerk: 1 single @ opener*

This will be a short competition preparation week to get those of you competing on Saturday as ready as possible considering the higher volume phase of training we are in right now. Keep in mind that we've got you pretty beat up right now, and really big numbers may not be reasonable until we back off the volume a bit further into the training cycle. The goal for this weekend is really just to go and have a good time, hit a bunch of successful lifts, and get some more meet experience. Everyone's goal for this weekend should be smiles and six for six performances, without worrying about big numbers and PRs. With that in mind, openers should be extra conservative for this meet. These should be lifts that you just do not miss. You should be able to walk up to the bar and KNOW with 100% certainty that you will just smoke it. We can feel that out a little today, but hopefully you've already got a pretty good idea of what those are.
Also, huge congratulations are in order for Industrious lifter and my very best friend Mike Clawson, who married the amazing girl he's been dating for nearly a decade this past Saturday, Alicia Kinne. Mike has been my closest friend since the 5th grade, and Alicia and I have been great friends since we first met when Mike brought her home from Eastern Washington University their freshman year. It was an incredible experience to be a part of such a special day for two of my best friends. Make sure to congratulate Mike when they return from their honeymoon next week!
