This is it, the last and heaviest week of the current cycle! We've all put in countless hours of hard work and sweat, and it's time to reap the rewards. For those who are not competing on Saturday in the Def Jam Weightlifting Championships down at Thrush, we will be going for records all week. Today we are attacking the snatch and front squat, and Thursday the clean and jerk and back squat. For those who are competing on Saturday, this week is our final competition taper, designed to get us all as fresh as possible for Saturday so that we can lift to our full potential on the platform when it counts the most. We start a brand new preparation cycle on Monday, so let's get those PRs this week. Get the cowbell ready!
